Can you administer analgesia for headache?

Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen are permitted to be administerd for headache and are not contraindicated in the directive. Patient are not permitted to be treated with narcotics for headache. The differentiation stems from the physiological cause of headache, which typically reponds well to non-opioid analgesia. Opioids are not conisdered best practice for headache and contradict the goals of care when managing headache.
